Copyright Ownership and Use

Music Content

All music featured on HipHopYo! is used under one of the following circumstances:

  • Direct submission and permission from the artist or their authorized representative
  • Content made available under Creative Commons or similar open licenses
  • Fair use for promotional, educational, or commentary purposes
  • Content obtained through legitimate promotional channels
  • Public domain material

Artist Promotion and Fair Use

Copyright Infringement Claims

Reporting Infringement

If you believe that content on HipHopYo! infringes your copyright, please provide us with a written notice containing:

  • Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location on our site
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized

Response to Claims

Upon receiving a valid copyright infringement notice, we will promptly investigate and, if necessary, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. We will also notify the content provider of the removal.

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA, HipHopYo! will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also terminate accounts of users who submit false or bad faith copyright infringement claims.

Sample Clearance and Licensing
